The Department is headed by the Director and saddled with the management of flood and erosion with appropriate flood control measures in the State. The department achieved it responsibilities through:
Planning, designing and construction of Flood and Erosion Control structures;
Construction of primary and secondary collector’s drains;
Maintenance of secondary and primary drainage channels;
Hinterland and Coastal Erosion Control Management;
