The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted thunderstorms and rains from Monday to Wednesday across the country.

NiMet’s weather outlook envisaged morning thunderstorms with rains over parts of the northern, north-central and southern regions, including Ogun State.

According to NiMet, strong winds may precede the rains in areas where thunderstorms are likely to occur and the public should take adequate precaution: disconnect electrical appliances from electrical sockets and stay away from tall trees to avoid impact from falling branches and broken trees.
